• Where we can, Travel Ethos offers direct bookings with the villas and hotels in Bali, allowing you to reserve with and pay them directly. This should allow you to book one of their better rooms and pay them only once you check out, not in advance, greatly reducing the risk of credit card fraud and getting bad service.
• All of the direct reservation fees we earn when you use us go to a local charity, The Bali Children's Project; see charity page for full details. That's right; when you book direct through us you are helping the needy children of Bali.
• We display guests' hotel / villa comments and ratings, so others can benefit from their experiences. We will invite you by email to leave comments for and rate the hotels and / or villas in Bali you reserved through us after you check out, so you can do the same for other travelers.
• We ask / allow the Balinese hotels & villas on our site to complete cultural, ethics and environmental questions and report what they say to you, to help conscientious travelers find the friendliest and most responsible accommodations providers in Bali.
• Therefore, whether you are interested in mass tourism beach resorts such as Kuta, Legian, Lovina or Sanur, exclusive beach areas such as Seminyak, Jimbaran Bay, Nusa Dua or Tanjung Benoa, peaceful seaside holidays in Amed or Pemuteran, or cultural centres such as Ubud, Travel Ethos works for both you and the smiling, gracious people of Bali.
• If you know and can recommend a Balinese villa or hotel which currently does not have a direct reservations facility with us, please email them and ask them to join.
• If you see any of the hotels or villas in Bali featured here with lower room rates on another web site, please enquire with them here and ask them to match that rate so that our nominated children's charity earns the booking fee, not a commercial reservations agent.
