Koh Samui Thailand hotel booking sites normally require tourists to pay them a deposit or the full reservation amount, we do not as you deal direct with the hotels. With so many hotels, resorts and now villas on Ko Samui, it pays to look and shop around. First decide on which resort area you prefer such as white sandy Chaweng Beach with its seafront open air restaurants at night, or perhaps more subdued Bophut Beach, ideal for families and with stunning view of the offshore islands. Many backpackers pushed out of some areas price wise, now find budget hotels and other lodgings around Lamai Beach. Maenam resorts, Bang Po villas and past ferry port Nathon Bay, Tong Yang lodges are now adding to the diversity of accommodations on Samui. More recently, tourism areas have been established on Choeng Mon and Bang Rak beaches, both within a short distance of Chaweng. What remains of the old Thai bamboo bungalows from the hippy era can be found around Thong Krut and Bang Khao bays, surrounded now though some of the most up-market hotels in Thailand on Hua Thanon and Taling Ngam Bay, Koh Samui.
